Owner & Teacher: Restorative, Slow- Flow, Beyond The Poses
Studio owner, Carly Brown has been sharing Yogic Education in our community and abroad for over a decade. She is trained in Kinesiology, Education, Ayurveda, Reiki and Reflexology and has been studying traditional Yoga in India with her Guru since she was 24. Carly brings a unique approach of merging Eastern and Western sciences in a way that is relatable and impactful to all.
She runs workshops and trainings to deepen Yogic understanding and will be teaching twice a week at Lokah Sangha Yoga.
Join her for Restorative Yoga, Thursday evenings that will always focus on stress reduction and nervous system regulation, or on Sunday Mornings for Slow-Flow, which will be a down to earth, chill paced, “tune in” to move-breathe-connect.
Studio Manager & Teacher: Gentle Yoga & Hatha Flow
Lindsay has been a committed student to yoga for years, and is now a 200hr RYT after completing LSY’s very first Yoga Teacher Training. She is now Lokah Sanghas proud studio manager who you will often see in the studio teaching Gentle Yoga and Hatha Flow on Monday’s & Wednesdays, or upcoming series & workshops!
Lindsay is also a local birth & postpartum doula, as the owner of Wild Womb Doula, with pre & postnatal yoga series coming soon to encourage new parents to meet and support one another.
Despite growing up in London, ON, she has always found peace in slowing down and connecting to the Earth and people surrounding her.
Jena is a 500hr RYT with additional certification as a Meditation Facilitator. Since moving back to NorthWestern Ontario and becoming a very proud member of the LSY team in 2018, she has specialized in teaching Restorative Yoga.
Her classes are deeply relaxing and uplifting, with special focus on the power of the breath, in slowing down and in coming home to ourSelves. She will often share unique guided meditations that she has written with the transformative practice of yoga.
Teacher: Gentle Yoga
Natasha completed her 200hr YTT in 2013 and has been teaching at Lokah Sangha since June of 2013. As time moves on her learning and teaching has evolved to reflect a deeper understanding of these yogic teachings, as well as honouring the physical and mental changes that she has experienced on a personal level.
Classes with Natasha are for every-body! Moving slowly and taking time to tune into ourselves as we honour where we are. On her last teaching day of each month she shares a very powerful metta-meditation practice that has been an integral part of her own journey.
Teacher: Yoga Fusion
Travis is a new teacher from Lokah Sangha Yoga's recent 200Hr YTT. He has a background in competitive gymnastics and teaching youth gymnastics. His yoga fusion classes will be a mix of muscle group-focused workouts combined with yoga asana sequencing to create a well-rounded classes that focus on strength and flexibility
Teacher: Core & More
Rea-ann’s fitness journey started when she was a child. Growing up in Thunder Bay, ON, as a competitive dancer and moved to Dryden as a teens. Getting her first gym membership at the local rec centre when she was 14, teaching herself how to use the equipment, and falling in love with the lifestyle.
She moved to Calgary in her early twenties, and it was there that she completed her first Personal Training Certificate. Rea-ann moved back to Dryden after having her beautiful daughter and continued to pursue personal fitness goals, like competing in her first bodybuilding competition in 2018.
She is now an IFBB Professional Athlete, continuing her wellness education, and helping others stay fit through personal training and group fitness.
